Award-winning singer/songwriter Kirsten Adamson (daughter of rock legend Stuart Adamson (Big Country, Skids) summons the same heart stopping purity as Sandy Denny, by way of Emmylou Harris and Kate Bush. Backed by The Tanagers, Adamson brings a warm, expansive band sound to her distinctive blend of heartland Americana, folk and rock. Following the critically acclaimed Landing Place in 2023, Adamson sharpened her focus with Dreamviewer in 2025.
Recorded with producer Joe Harvey-Whyte, the album marked a clear step forward, leaner and more assured, with the songs given space to breathe and the performances shaped by restraint rather than excess. Critics praised its balance, emotional precision and song-first approach, capturing an artist increasingly confident in her own instincts.
That momentum has carried straight onto the road. Adamson and The Tanagers followed the release with a sold-out UK headline run and appearances across Europe, including Germany’s revered Static Roots Festival. In autumn 2026, the band join The Proclaimers for a major UK tour, playing rooms including the London Palladium, Manchester Apollo, Newcastle City Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall and Edinburgh Playhouse. In 2027, Kirsten Adamson & The Tanagers release Live in London, captured at the Water Rats and documenting a band that has grown in confidence, scale and reputation over the past two years.
It marks the beginning of another chapter for Adamson, with a new record on the horizon and a live show that has become as central to the story as the songs themselves.
Why do we have a restoration Levy?
Put very simply, our restoration levy is an additional charge added to your ticket price which is directly invested back into the venue. This money is used for critical maintenance, repairs, and preservation efforts to ensure the long-term sustainability of the building. As the 3rd oldest church building in Glasgow, dating back to 1836, Saint Luke's requires ongoing care and special restoration to maintain its historic character and facilities. This levy will enable us to fund essential projects that will safeguard the venue's future as a vibrant hub for live music and community events.
If you would like to be kept up to date on progress with how we are using this fund then please follow us on social media @stlukesglasgow, and sign up to our mailing list where we will send out quarterly updates on the improvements that your donations are helping us make.
