Symphony of the Americas: Pass the Baton

The entire history of music is filled with passing on what we love to the next generation-putting great music into the hands of tomorrow's music makers, and letting them make it their own. After the overwhelming success of our inaugural year, we're excited for this one-of-a-kind national competition to continue to grow. Four outstanding undergraduate conducting students from across the country will be given the opportunity to showcase their talent with the world-class Symphony of the Americas, performing a program of American classical and popular works for string orchestra. After a competitive application process, a panel of three guest judges-along with the audience, who will serve as the fourth judge-will help select the winner, who will receive a cash prize and a paid opportunity to perform in the following season, mentored by Maestro Luke.
