Salt & Pepper Squiz - The Vivid Sydney Exclusive Premiere
Donnerstag, 11. Juni 2026, 10:00
Mary's Underground · 29 Reiby Place, Circular Quay
Jennifer Wong debuts her new comedy show at Mary’s Underground, in a night of funny food stories, bar snacks and cocktails inspired by her best-selling book Chopsticks or Fork?: Recipes and Stories from Australia’s Regional Chinese Restaurants.
After sold-out shows at comedy festivals across Australia, Wong’s new show is a stand-up and food fusion, with tickets including a series of classic Chinese-Australian bar snacks.
Expect a salt and peppery squiz at food culture at large, including hot takes and a chance to tackle life’s big questions, such as “Have you had share plates before?”.
Having travelled across Australia for Chopsticks or Fork?, Wong has plenty of wild stories to share, too – including some that didn’t make the book, or its six-part precursor series on ABC TV.
Unofficially dubbed “Australia’s queen of puns” (ABC Radio, The Cook Up) and called “comedy gold” by The Age, Wong’s exclusive debut of Salt & Pepper Squiz at Vivid Sydney isn’t one to be missed.
