OCTAVE ONE (Live)

<p style="text-align: center;">Detroit techno pioneers Octave One bring their live show to Oxford Art Factory on Friday, August 28.</p><p style="text-align: center;">Born from the minds of Detroit&rsquo;s Burden brothers, Octave One have spent more than three decades shaping the sound of techno from the inside out. Led by Lenny and Lawrence Burden, the project first emerged in 1990 with &lsquo;I Believe&rsquo;, featured on the landmark compilation Techno 2: The Next Generation alongside the next wave of Detroit innovators.</p><p style="text-align: center;">Since, they&rsquo;ve taken their live show around the world, built a legacy through their own Detroit-based label 430 West Records and delivered records that continue to ring through dance floors globally. From releases like &lsquo;Empower&rsquo;, &lsquo;Nicolette&rsquo; and &lsquo;The X-Files&rsquo; to the global classic &lsquo;Black Water&rsquo;, Octave One&rsquo;s influence runs deep, with their tracks carried through sets by the likes of Carl Cox and Jeff Mills.</p><p style="text-align: center;">Their live show remains the stuff of legend - a full-force collision of funk, house, soul and raw Detroit energy, powered by their mighty analogue rig, The Mothership.</p><p style="text-align: center;">This August, they bring it back to Australia with Trinity on opening duties.</p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 12px;">____________________________________________<br>We acknowledge that this event is held on the stolen lands of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation.
