Blazin’ Fiddles

Take the finest exponents of their native Scottish fiddle styles, the finest backing in folk music, and some of the Highlands and Islands’ famed warmth and craic… distil for over 25 years, and you get Blazin’ Fiddles! Winners of Folk Band of the Year for 2025 they are one of the most lauded and best-loved acts of the Scottish music scene.
Whether of the Royal Albert or highland village variety – they’ll turn it into the liveliest and warmest of hootenannies.

Beth Malcolm & Jim Malcolm

Beth is a songwriter, and singer of stories from Perth, Scotland. Beth’s music is folk-inspired, and she sings an eclectic mix of traditional Scots songs, alongside her own writing. Beth was named BBC MG ALBA Scots Singer of the Year in 2022 and 2024.

After a brief hiatus from folk music in her teenage years, Beth fell in love with the old songs and music she had grown up with. She found a home, singing regular floor spots at the Glasgow Star Folk club and has been singing, arranging, playing and writing ever since.

Beth will be joined by her dad Jim Malcolm who is the ultimate Scots troubadour who travels the world with his guitar, harmonicas and d and his own masterfully crafted songs.
