Michael Mayo

Growing up in Los Angeles surrounded by music, Michael Mayo was destined for a life in sound. The son of musicians who performed with Earth, Wind & Fire, Sérgio Mendes, Beyoncé, Diana Ross, and other icons, Mayo carries a rich musical legacy that he has transformed into a voice uniquely his own. A graduate of New England Conservatory and the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz, Mayo blends jazz, neo-soul, and R&B as a vocalist, composer, songwriter, and arranger. After touring with Herbie Hancock and collaborating with leading artists including Taylor Eigsti, he has emerged as one of the most exciting young voices in contemporary jazz.
