<p><strong><span data-markjs="true"><span data-markjs="true">Flyte</span></span></strong> (UK) is the project of English songwriters Will Taylor and Nick Hill. The pair met at secondary school, eventually settling in Hackney, London. Taylor&rsquo;s parents were both English teachers and inevitably, various literary influences trickled into the duo&rsquo;s music- the band taking it&rsquo;s name from Sebastian <span data-markjs="true"><span data-markjs="true">Flyte</span></span> of Evelyn Waugh&rsquo;s Brideshead Revisited.</p><p>To make their fourth album, Between You and Me, <span data-markjs="true"><span data-markjs="true">Flyte</span></span>&mdash;Will Taylor and Nick Hill&mdash;set out to return to something raw and instinctual. Just weeks before joining legendary producer Ethan Johns (Paul McCartney, Laura Marling, Ray LaMontagne) in his rural studio, the duo began writing at a small window table in Taylor&rsquo;s North East London flat. They wanted to see what would happen if they didn&rsquo;t overthink their songs, if they simply sang about their lives in the moment&mdash;candid reflections on love, fallibility, and staying vulnerable. They didn&rsquo;t fuss over demos or arrangements; they just wanted to capture the feelings. They knew Johns thrived on intuition, so they let that sensibility guide them from the beginning.</p><p>The result, Between You And Me, is the most affecting and singular album in <span data-markjs="true"><span data-markjs="true">Flyte</span></span>&rsquo;s discography, a stirring and recognisable map of what it means to come of age as musicians, friends, and people.
