Music by resident DJ Ron Pullman (Atlanta's Godfather of House)
Ron Pullman, revered as “Atlanta’s Godfather of House” has been a transformative force in the Southeastern U.S. House Music scene for over three decades. A Midwest native with deep roots in gospel music, thanks to his father, Ron’s journey began with a love affair with vinyl in the late 70s. By the early 80s, he was a fixture in clubs coast-to-coast, absorbing the beats and rhythms that would later define his signature sound.
Ron’s rise to prominence started in 1984 at Houston’s legendary "Catch One" Club, where his electrifying debut left crowds spellbound, marking the birth of his distinct “PullmanSoul” sound. Influenced by iconic DJs like Shep Pettibone, Ron Hardy, Timmy Regisford, Tee Scott, DJ Kemit, and DJ Punch. Ron quickly became the heartbeat of Atlanta’s underground House Music scene after moving to the city in 1986. He spun at iconic venues like The Ritz Boys, Traxx, and The Excelsior Mill aka The Masquerade. His talent and magnetic presence soon earned him radio spots on Atlanta’s top stations, including V-103 FM, KISS 104,89.3 WRFG then eventually his show, "Southern Deepness," on Handz On Radio.
Ron’s flawless mixing and unwavering commitment to the purity of House Music have made him a legend. His mantra, “What you put into it is what you will get out of it,” isn’t just a saying—it’s the driving force behind every set he plays. Ron stays relevant by producing music for labels such as Makin’ Moves and CyberJamz. He currently holds a monthly residency at Atlanta’s Eagle. Fans don’t just listen to Ron Pullman; they experience the passion, energy, and soul that have solidified his place as a pioneer and guardian of House Music culture.
