ELAINE PALMER featuring JOE WILKINS

Hailing from an isolated village up on the North Yorkshire Moors, ELAINE PALMER has spent much of her life travelling back and forth to family in Phoenix, Arizona. Growing up in an old Watermill, she immersed herself in music, writing songs influenced by her surroundings both in the UK and USA. Elaine finely honed her distinctive voice and built a reputation as much for her emotive, mesmerising stage presence as for her fusion of British folk and American country styles.

Touring extensively, sharing stages with the likes of Patty Griffin, Lilly Hiatt and Seasick Steve, her two most recent releases Half Moon Rising and Some Seek Silver, Some Seek Gold have seen her working with musician and producer Mike Butler (Phoebe Bridgers, Norah Jones, The White Buffalo) at his Half Moon Lodge studio high in the San Diego hills.

'Palmer's powerful expressive voice stands comparison with Emmylou Harris.' - RnR Magazine

'Carefully constructed, strong on melody, her best work yet.'
***** AmericanaUK

‘With a beautifully conversational voice, an unerring sense of melody and a bittersweet and wistful repertoire, Elaine Palmer is undoubtedly a talent.’ **** MOJO

Appearing with Elaine will be internationally renowned guitarist JOE WILKINS. Joe  has over 20 years of touring and recording experience. Although his roots are in Blues, Soul and Americana, the range of musical styles he's covered has earned him a reputation as a unique and diverse musician. He was described on BBC Radio as ‘a man who plays guitar like its straight out of a David Lynch movie.’

Joe has shared the stage with Walter Trout, played alongside Van Morrison and opened for Jools Holland and Don McLean on his 50th Anniversary ‘American Pie’ Tour. Since 2014 Joe has been writing, recording and touring internationally with the award-winning Elles Bailey. Joe features heavily on all four of Bailey’s studio albums, as well as the majority of her other releases. He co-wrote ‘Riding Out The Storm’, ‘If This Is Love’, ‘Love Yourself’ and ’Wildfire’ - the title track of Bailey’s first studio album. Joe’s slide guitar solo on Bailey’s ‘Medicine Man’ features on Joe Bonamassa’s Blazing Blues Guitar Solo’s’ Playlist.
