AI and HR: If You’re Not Keeping Up, You’re Already Behind · 1900 Heritage Dr SW, Calgary, AB T2V 2X3, Canada, Calgary
Captivate Benefits is excited to invite you to our next in-person HR Peer Circle!
Join us at Heritage Park's beautiful Selkirk Gallery for a delicious breakfast and a presentation by Michelle Berg of Elevated HR to discover how HR can embrace AI in a practical and human-centred way while focusing on the work that matters most — people, culture, and leadership.
AI is not here to replace HR. It is here to force HR to get clearer about where we actually add value.
This session is not about comparing tools, building bots, or learning how to write a better prompt. It is about what AI means for connection, coaching, leadership, trust, and the employee experience.
As AI takes on more administrative work, HR has an opportunity to move closer to the work we have always said mattered most: helping leaders lead, supporting better decisions, strengthening culture, and solving real people problems.
Participants will explore how HR can be part of the AI conversation in a practical, ethical, and human-centred way, without becoming the department that panics about compliance and polices, or let’s face it, gets left behind.
Because AI can draft the document. HR still needs to read the room.
More about the Speaker
Michelle Berg is the Founder and CEO of Elevated HR Solutions, a fractional HR firm built on the belief that work shouldn’t suck.
With more than 25 years of experience in human resources, leadership, culture, and organizational strategy, Michelle works with growing organizations to build practical people systems that actually support the humans using them. She has advised executives, boards, founders, and leadership teams across sectors including technology, non-profit, municipal, professional services, and scaling businesses.
Michelle is known for bringing a candid, strategic, and deeply human lens to HR. Her work sits at the intersection of people, performance, leadership psychology, behavioural science and business reality, helping organizations move beyond compliance and administration into better conversations, better decisions, and stronger workplaces.
She is also the person most likely to say the quiet part out loud, kindly enough that people still invite her back.
